What are manicures and pedicures

Our manicure and pedicure course is a great way to break into the nail industry, both treatments are a luxury for your hands feet and nail's. Both these treatments are in demand for both mobile therapists and beauty salons. Both treatments are cosmetic beauty treatments which helps improve the appearance of hands, nails and feet. Both treatments are enjoyed by all. Manicure treatments began 5000 years ago in India when henna was used for manicures, the word "manicure" comes from the Latin manus meaning "hand" and cura meaning care. The same for pedicure, pes which means "foot" and cura meaning care. Pedicures can be helpful as it can prevent nail diseases and disorders.

How it Works

The purpose of a manicure is to keep the nails and hands in good condition. This is a popular treatment as smooth skin, well shaped and varnished nails are vital to promote a well-groomed appearance. Regular professional attention will help prevent minor nail damage such as split and brittle nails and will help promote healthy nails as well as conditioned and cared for hands. Massage is applied to hands and feet to soften and moisturise the skin as well as relax the hands and feet. This part of the manicure and pedicure is a real treat for any client. The nails are then filed and painted to the clients liking.
